Professional extractions are much less painful than doing them yourself! We steam your skin first to soften pores, making extractions easier and more comfortable. Most patients describe mild pressure rather than pain.
We recommend waiting 24 hours before applying makeup to let your freshly cleaned pores breathe. If you must wear makeup, use only mineral-based products and apply lightly.
For active acne, we recommend facials every 2-3 weeks until skin clears, then monthly for maintenance. Consistent treatment is key to keeping acne under control.
Some patients experience a brief "purge" where existing congestion comes to the surface faster. This is normal and actually a good sign! It typically resolves within 3-5 days, and your skin will be clearer afterward.
Acne facials use products specifically formulated for breakout-prone skin (salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, etc.) and include more extensive extractions, antibacterial treatments, and oil-control techniques that regular facials don't offer.
While acne facials primarily treat active breakouts, regular treatments can improve minor texture issues and prevent new scars from forming. For existing acne scars, we recommend microneedling or laser treatments.
