Microneedling with exosomes pairs SkinPen® microneedling with a serum of exosomes, tiny vesicles packed with peptides, proteins, lipids and growth factors that support the skin's healing response. It targets fine lines, sun damage and acne scars, and in our experience the skin calms down faster than after microneedling alone.
A picture is worth a thousand words, so below are microneedling with exosomes before and after photos from real MedBeautyLA clients: right after treatment, during recovery, and final results. Learn more about microneedling with exosomes at MedBeautyLA.

Book a ConsultationHow Microneedling with Exosomes Works
Microneedling creates controlled micro-injuries in the skin, which signals your body to heal and regenerate the treated area: the result is fresher, more youthful skin. Numbing gel goes on first, so the treatment is comfortable. Adding exosomes supports that healing and regeneration response.

Microneedling with Exosomes FAQs
How many sessions will I need?
Noticeable improvement often shows after one session, and optimal results can come in as few as three. Your provider will recommend a plan for your skin and goals.
What is recovery like?
Expect redness similar to a sunburn right after treatment, then some dryness or light peeling over the next few days, as the photos above show. See when you can wear makeup after microneedling for a day-by-day guide.
Are exosomes the same as PRP?
No. They're based on a similar idea, but PRP uses growth factors from your own blood, so it's limited by your age and health and needs a blood draw. Exosomes need no blood draw. We offer microneedling with exosomes rather than PRP, so you won't find PRP before and afters here. Read more in Exosomes vs. PRP.
Why does it cost more than microneedling alone?
Exosomes are isolated in a lab from high-quality biological samples, and they must be handled by a trained provider to be applied properly. SkinPen® microneedling for the full face is $465 and includes post-care products; exosomes are an add-on. See current prices on our pricing page.
Who is it for?
Microneedling with exosomes targets fine lines, redness, scarring and brown spots from sun exposure, and it boosts collagen and elastin, which keep skin healthy and youthful. It's one of our most popular treatments and suits all skin types.
