Gentle, medical-grade exfoliation that removes dead skin and peach fuzz for instantly smoother, brighter skin
Dermaplaning is a gentle exfoliating treatment in which a licensed aesthetician uses a sterile, surgical-grade blade to lift away the top layer of dead skin cells along with the fine, vellus hair known as peach fuzz. The result is skin that looks brighter, feels noticeably smoother and takes makeup beautifully.
Because it exfoliates without harsh scrubs, suction or acids, dermaplaning is a gentler alternative to microdermabrasion and a favorite for sensitive and mature skin types. It also clears the way for your skincare, so serums and moisturizers absorb better.
Our MedBeautyLA Dermaplane Facial is a full facial built around dermaplaning, so your skin is exfoliated, treated and hydrated in one visit. Dermaplaning can also be added to another facial, and extended to the neck, chest or shoulders.

Not at all. Most clients describe it as a light, feathery brushing across the skin, and many find it relaxing.
None. Your skin may look slightly pink for an hour or two. For a few days afterward, wear SPF and skip retinoids and exfoliating products while your fresh skin settles.
Every three to four weeks, which matches your skin's natural renewal cycle and keeps the glow going.
Most skin types do beautifully with it, including sensitive and mature skin. If you have an active acne breakout, a rash or a sunburn, we'll suggest a different treatment until your skin calms down. Let us know if you use prescription retinoids or have taken isotretinoin (Accutane).
Yes, and it will go on more smoothly than ever. If you can, give your skin the rest of the day to breathe first.
