Renuva® is an injectable composed of collagen, proteins, and growth factors.
This is an extremely common question! Traditional facial fillers (or "dermal fillers") consist of a gel-like substance called hyaluronic acid, or HA. This gel is injected into the face to temporarily fill out age-related volume loss, among other things. Because filler is not a part of your body, you will metabolize it out over a period of time, typically between 10-14 months. Renuva®, however, stimulates your body's own tissue production. The results are all you, meaning they will last longer.
Because of this, we recommend Renuva® for clients specifically interested in face and neck rejuvenation. Dermal fillers are still our most recommended treatment for clients who want to enhance their lips, balance their chin and jawline, and achieve more facial contour and definition. Both Renuva® and Sculptra® are biostimulators, meaning they cause your body to regenerate its own cells. However, while Sculptra® is best suited for overall volume loss and for improving skin quality, Renuva® is best suited for specific and targeted areas of fat loss, like the delicate under eyes and marionette lines. Additionally, while Renuva® yields immediate noticeable results, Sculptra® takes a minimum of 8-12 weeks to take effect.

A fat transfer involves removing fatty tissue from a donor site and re-introducing it into the target area. Meanwhile, Renuva® works with your body to regenerate its own fat pads in the treatment site.
Dermal filler is not designed for injection in areas other than the face and, sometimes, the hands. Renuva®, however, can be injected into both the breasts and buttocks for enhanced shape and lift.
You will notice immediate volume in the treatment sites, and results will continue to improve for up to six months as your body continues to restore lost fat cells in the area.
Because your body is generating its own tissue, your results will last much longer than treatments that lift and plump through foreign substances like filler. Data shows that your results can last up to a decade with proper post care, like daily SPF and medical-grade skin care.
Most clients require a minimum of two sessions spaced four weeks apart. The amount of Renuva® required during each session will vary from person to person.
Renuva® is administered via precise injections in an extremely controlled manner. Each syringe only has 1 mL of product, about the size of a blueberry. Because of this, results are subtle, natural, and never too extreme.
Yes! Renuva® is an excellent option for treating under-eye hollows and restoring volume to the area.
You may have mild-to-moderate swelling, just as with filler, and it should subside within about two weeks.
Renuva® and HA filler are both extremely low-risk treatments and significantly safer than invasive surgery.
